Women's Village
The social trail to Women’s Village is located on a ledge along the south wall of Boynton Canyon. This cluster of Sinagua cliff dwellings extends for approximately 150 yards before the ledge runs out.
The distinctive name may have been chosen by archaeologists because the ledge provided a safe location in the center of Boynton Canyon. The foundation of a defensive wall can be seen as you start down the ledge toward the ruins.
This is one of the more impressive archaeological sites in Sedona (shown above), but the view alone (shown below) would be worth the effort if there were no cliff dwellings at all.
