Baby Bell
This unofficial social trail is short and easy, leading to one of the best rock outcroppings in Sedona. In our humble opinion the summit of Baby Bell is a more beautiful and dynamic place to stand than the side of Bell Rock -- which is where the crowd is headed.
While it's difficult to get high up on the larger formation, almost anyone can reach the top of the smaller one, which affords an unobstructed 360 degree view. It's a stunning place from which to watch the late afternoon light on several major rock formations.
FINDING THE TRAILHEAD
Use the Courthouse Vista parking area (at GPS 34.80592 -111.76645) on Hwy 179. Follow the Phone Trail Extension east out of the parking area for the first .25 miles, then take a right on the Bell Rock Pathway.
Baby Bell Rock will be on the left side of the Pathway, so start looking for a social trail almost immediately that breaks to the left. There are several ways to reach the top, so you'll just have to find one that works for you.
