Cibola Pass Loop

GET THE GPS TRACK FOR EVERY TRAIL IN SEDONA INCLUDED WHEN YOU PURCHASE THE WANDERER'S GUIDE!

The Cibola Pass Loop is formed by combining two system trails in the Coconino National Forest: Cibola Pass and Jordan. The heavily used route is well marked with signs and easy to follow. While the Jordan is open to mountain bikes, the Cibola Pass trail enters the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness Area, where mechanized transportation is not permitted.

Cibola Butte is a prominent landmark on the route.

Hikers can extend this scenic loop by a mile or two in order to visit the Devil's Kitchen sinkhole and Seven Pools.

FINDING THE TRAILHEAD

The best place to park is the Jim Thompson Trailhead. From Uptown Sedona take Jordan Road to the end and turn left on W. Park Ridge Dr. Follow that to the Forest Service parking area at the end of the road.

The trailheads are on the west side of the parking lot, near the vaulted toilets. A Red Rock Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required to park here. The best light for photographers is either early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
