Mormon Canyon

Mormon Canyon is a beautiful but seldom visited side hike off the Brins Mesa trail in Sedona. Cut into the shear cliffs of Wilson Mountain, Mormon Canyon is especially notable for the many spires that stick up here (shown above). This image was captured in the morning, but the best light will be late in the afternoon.
There really isn't much of a social trail into this canyon.
FINDING THE TRAILHEAD
The best place to park is the Jim Thompson Trailhead. From Uptown Sedona take Jordan Rd to the end and turn left on W. Park Ridge Dr. Follow that to the Forest Service parking area at the end of the road.
